Size Chart for Collars

Collar Size Chart

I thought it would be a good idea to have a size chart on my blog to help with sizing of my dog collars. Once you figure out your dog's neck size be sure to check out my Etsy site to purchase your next dog collar!

To find your dog's size, simply measure around their neck with a flexible tape measure or string, leaving it comfortably loose.

Dog collars should be snug with enough room to fit two fingers under the collar. Collars should also not be so tight they restrict breathing or cause coughing.

If your measurement is close to the upper end of a size, I recommend purchasing the next larger size. You can also measure an existing collar.

Please check your pet's collar size frequently, especially on growing puppies.

Every collar you own should have a current nametag attached to it at all times. This will be your pet's voice should they get lost.

Happy Birthday to my Boy

It feels like just the other day that we were driving to the middle-of-no-where Iowa to pick up our little devil. We spent over 2 hours at the breeders playing with her puppies and picking out the one that would suit our family the best. Of course we picked the one that cared more about exploring the garage than playing with us!

Now, 3 years later he still cares more about exploring than playing and would rather be near you than being picked up or pet. He is such a wonderful part of our family and I can't believe I have been so blessed to have him part of my life. It sounds silly to say that about my dog but it's true, he brings so much joy to my day (even when I'm having the worst day EVER).

So Happy Birthday to Caolin today. My life has changed so much by saying yes to my husband's request to get a puppy but I couldn't be happier that he is part of our lives!

Miko!!

Miko is my brother in-laws newest addition to his family. Miko is a Welsh terrier and joins his sister, Molly (also a Welsh), as the furbabies in the household. Isn't he adorable!?

Happy Customer

This little Corgi is wearing my pink Dino Walk dog collar from my Etsy shop. I just had to share because she is so darn adorable!

You can pick one of these collars up for your little (or big) on my Etsy page. I made this in a special size for this little girl because her neck is petite but the medium and large are listed on my Etsy page.

New Camera Arriving Soon

I know my pictures of my Etsy site are horrible! At first I had my brother take pictures for me (he is a professional photographer) but it became so hard to align our calendars.

When I just couldn't wait for my brother's calendar to open up I took pictures myself using a very old and low mega-pixel camera (we are talking 3-4 mega-pixels)! I couldn't justify spending money on a camera of my own.. up until now.

I finally took the plunge and bought myself a grown-up camera. I bought it on Ebay for 1/2 what I should pay for it-- but there is a crack on the display screen (which the previous owner repaired to their ability). I hope that it will still work and that I haven't been duped. I guess we'll see in a few days when it arrives in the mail.

So this is the old.. But imagine it all dinged up and not as shiny and nice looking. I brought it with me when I was studying abroad in Australia and dropped it everywhere (Blue Mtns, Downtown Sydney, Beach upon Beach). It was beat up to the best of my ability. And this is my new camera! I hope that I didn't make a huge mistake with my purchase!
